Elevation Loss: 4,655 ft
Min Elevation: 6,295 ft
Max Elevation: 10,809 ft
6:30 am) upper 50's Sunny!
Took yesterday off so I would be as fresh as possible for this
run. I knew I would need all the energy I had to do this run.
Running up Barr trail has to be one of the hardest runs in the
country.
I started at Memorial Park in Manitou Springs. I ran up Barr
trail to the Bottomless Pit sign 8.5 miles. I made it to the
half way point at 1:39 and change. I felt good but not great
for the climb. I felt better after the W's. Coming down felt
good but legs were a bit fatigued. Overall very happy with
this run. I am making progress.

Brad- are you racing BTMR? Good work on the Barr - I'm allergic to it ;-)

Surprised you have not run Rampart yet - very nice trail there, just go out early.

Steve, Yes I'm going to run BTMR. I look forward to it. Allergic to Barr? It's such a great trail! I love the challenge of it.
Thanks for the tip for Rampart. I will make sure to get there very early.
