Pikes Peak Marathon

26.2 Miles 5:04:11
31st Overall
Not what I hoped for today. I had high expectations going into
this race. My training went very good and I was well rested. I
was very confident going into this race. My ascent was slower
than expected 3:02:11 and the down once again was not good. I
felt sick going down till I got below Barr Camp. Once below Barr
Camp I came back alive and was running very strong to the finish.
Need to figure out how to feel good coming down from the summit.
Okay a few positives now I didn't fall! I feel injury free!
I still PR'd by 29 minutes. My parents were there so that made
it a great day anyway.

Definitely some real positives Brad, a PR of 29 minutes and an age group award. I hope you recover well and continue to run strong.

Thanks Steve! Was nice meeting you today. Sounds like a good time at Leadville!

I am fairly convinced that when you put this together the next time you do it, it will be at least another 29 minute PR.

Solid race Brad!

I was able to get up and down the Peak a couple times when I was there... New respect for a time like yours. And a PR like that is always a positive. Missed you after the race but saw you cruise down Ruxton. Good stuff.

All the best,

Adam
