Training is shifting to more of a trail focus.
Another road marathon is planned in September in
South Dakota.

Barr Trail

Yesterday was another run up Barr Trail. I went 1 mile past Barr Camp. Still some good snow past
Barr Camp. It snowed more yesterday afternoon so I'm sure it's even more snow up there today.
Not sure when I will be able to get high altitude training in. So much snow this year.
I ran pretty solid on the up hit Barr Camp at 1:28:33. Time is slowly improving. I have work to
do before August 21. My goal is very aggressive. I don't want to put it out there but it's well under
3 hours.
I'm 50 this year so I'm really excited to run in a new age bracket. Plus I haven't raced since 2018.
I will run BTMR in July. That should be a great rust buster.
Big week on tap shooting for 65 miles.

Running update

So 2021 has been going well. I have gotten back to consistency. I have strung several 50 mile weeks.

This past week was my biggest week to date 61 miles. I'm trying to get most of my miles on trails.

I have several trail races this year and end it with a road marathon. My first race will be the Barr Trail

Mountain Race in July. Recently I got off the wait list for the Run Rabbit 50 mile race. I'm very

excited to do a ultra distance race again. 2022 I'm looking for a 100 mile race in the fall I'm thinking.

That's all for now.

Keep 'er movin'

2021 Running

 First post of 2021!

I have been running consistent again since November 2020. I haven't run much the last few years. I'm getting back at it. I am currently training specifically for Pikes Peak Ascent. I also signed up for Barr Trail Mountain Race. Other races planned include a 50 mile trail run and a road marathon in December.

Life has changed some career wise. I no longer work for the man. I have gone out on my own doing wood working. If you want to see some of my work it's on my facebook page Wood Art Designs. This has been the best decision ever. I enjoy getting up every day now. Also I have way more flexibility for running!

I will try and post more often. Thanks for stopping by.

UPT, LRR, Barr Trail.

12.77 miles 2:53:44
Another fun run with Randy. Lots of snow on Longs Ranch Road. We had a
28:00 mile! Not nearly as cold as Thursday that was nice. Feeling good
but also feeling a little tired from the added mileage and time on feet. Next
Sunday the club runs start. I can't wait. Randy and I will have more company
out there. The quiet time is nice though as we talk lots about everything but
mostly about nutrition. We learn lots from each other.

10 weeks of running
43.4 miles for the week. Most miles in a week for me this year.
7hr 54 minutes for the week.

a difference they make. Good week so far with 24.5 miles. Two more runs
planned should hit 40 miles for the weeks since starting back 10 weeks ago.
