12 Miles 1:52:37 9:22 average per mile
Elevation Gain: 3,305 ft
Elevation Loss: 3,306 ft
Min Elevation: 6,356 ft
Max Elevation: 9,604 ft
9:40 am) 50's Sunny!
Felt very good this morning. Not sore like I expected so I figured
I would get some miles in today. I was pretty slow on the first
2 uphill miles but then got to feeling good and pushed it pretty
hard. Don't get me wrong I'm not killing it or nothing but I do
more running than hiking. I think I will get stronger each week
I do this run. I plan on doing this again Friday and going 14 miles.
Next race Barr Trail Mountain Race July 17.

Solid. Assuming you started at the cog? If you are running 1:52 from there ... !!!

GZ, I started at the bottom of Ruxton since it's so hard to find parking up by the cog. So that's a pretty good time? Good to hear I thought it was okay at best.

That is an excellent time. If you went from the bottom of Ruxton to Barr Camp and back in that time, you are probably looking at a 1:40 in the Barr Trail race. That would be very solid.

I didn't go all the way to Barr Camp. I turned around when my Garmin hit 6 miles. I have a ways to go to get in that kind of shape. I just hope to be somewhat close to you at the finish.

so where was that on the trail?

Good question. Sorry I don't have a good answer. I still don't really know this trail like you would think I would. I have not really been running this trail until the last few weeks. That will change though. My best guess would be near Bob's Road but I don't even know where that is.

No biggie. A few times on the trail and you will have it dialed in. And then you, as you live there, will have it memorized a few times after that.

Bob's Road is a bit before the 7.8 sign ... a bit uphill from it in a way as you head up the trail. There is an aide station there on both BTMR and PPA/M races.

Read up on this ...http://www.skyrunner.com/ppcourse.htm

I think from the Cog to Barr Camp is 6.2. If you started at the base of Ruxton and then went up, then you started about .8 ahead of the cog start (ish). So you went about a mile shy of Barr Camp.

Still pretty damn good.

Thanks George! Like you said it will become more familiar as I do it more. See you in a little over a month!
