11 Miles Total
10:15 am)
Today was going to be a 10 mile tempo run. Well it didn't go
well. I ended it after the 8th mile. I was struggling and
mentally weak. I jogged back to the car. Tempo started out
good but it was hard from the start.
6:17, 6:25, 6:22, 6:27, 6:28, 6:07, 6:15, 6:30. Glad I ended
it as even the jog back to the car was not easy. Not sure
why I had a off day. Maybe doing 10 yesterday was a factor.
I usually run less the day before my tempo runs.

Dude - you are done. You should retire now and take up bowling.
True! I used to bowl when I was younger time to get back into it.
You gotta take the easy days easy man. Yesterday did nothing but wreck today. You should have just jogged 4-6 miles and then killed today. The focus isn't on volume but on quality now. Tomorrow should be 4 miles super easy. Wednesday 4 miles super easy. Then Thursday a repeat of today's tempo. Just my 2 cents.
Tim, You are correct! Thanks for the input I appreciate it. Thursday I'm doing a 5k Turkey Trot run so that will be a harder effort but shorter than today. I will try and do a tempo of 10 or more on Friday. If I don't eat too much turkey on Thursday.
no, no. You are a master now. Kick ass every day. Take young guy ass and scalps down. don't listen to that Lucho guy. Kill it.
(P.S. - just gonna be more of a jerk here and say if you are happy with t-day, don't do a tempo on Friday ... but if t-day sucks, then a tempo will be more for your head on Friday).
And I meant skeet shooting, not bowling.
Lucho is one smart guy. Easy Brad, easy. Why not turn the Turkey Trot into a tempo? A hard 5K+ and then a hard tempo on Friday might lead you down the same path as today's workout. Just a thought.
Alicia, Thanks for the comment. I appreciate any and all feedback. Good points you make. I'm thinking after the 5k I wont want to continue as I will be spent. Plus I will want to chit chat with some fellow runners afterwards. I wont do the tempo on Friday unless I really feel good.
